Royal Cornwall Hospital overcomes lack of space

Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust’s decision to purchase a third Philips MRI scanner created a question of where to install the new equipment.  There was no space available within the existing infrastructure at the Royal Cornwall site.  However the issue was resolved by a unique solution from Philips UKI, whereby the trust purchased a relocatable scanner, one equipment unit and a second ancillary unit connected together, to be operated as a fixed MRI system fully compliant to building regulations.  Philips UKI purchased the relocatable unit from Lamboo Mobile Medical and managed the installation from delivery to operational status.
