Angiography day provides ideal venue for MRI monitor demo

Future Medical Equipment was a sponsor of the Cardiovascular CT Angiography study day in Edinburgh. The event, hosted by MDCT and CT/MRI Safety Matters, was an opportunity for Future Medical UK technical product sales lead Iain Quarrie and northern business lead Jenny Tibbs to demonstrate an MRI patient monitor.

The non-magnetic, portable patient monitor and infusion pump is said to eliminate the need to have a dedicated transport monitor and provides continuity of patient monitoring and data storage, as well as being lightweight and portable.

Quarrie explained: “The seminar was a perfect place for us to tell new and existing clients that we not only purchase used imaging equipment, but we also retail an MRI monitor and IV pump. It provided us with an opportunity to explain the benefits of the monitor as it is such an efficient use of the MRI room and MRI personnel because they can prepare the patient on the ward, freeing up time in the MRI suite. We have sponsored events through CT/MRI Safety Matters in the past and knew it would be really beneficial to us.”

Event organiser Barbara Nugent said: “I greatly appreciate the benefits of vendor sponsorship for my delegates. With Future Medical Equipment’s support I was able to secure an excellent venue so that our 100 delegates from all over the UK and from as far afield as the Netherlands could enjoy learning in a great environment.”
