Bridgwater Community Hospital, Somerset, was opened in 2014 by the Earl and Countess of Wessex and is one of 13 community hospitals in the Somerset Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. Integral to this new build are two x-ray rooms that are home to the latest direct digital radiography system supplied by Xograph Healthcare.
Xograph’s marketing director Neil Staff said: “The systems include Canon’s large area wireless 35 x 43cm DR detector and small area 27 x 35cm DR detector, allowing detector sharing between the rooms for convenience and resilience. These lightweight and robust detectors feature internal shock protection, which is enhanced particularly at the four corners. The DR system software logs user activity with the detectors and will register any significant shocks they receive. This data can be useful for managers to ensure best practice and equipment handling within their departments.”
