Kenex (Electro-Medical) Limited is celebrating its 50th birthday. The company has come a long way since it was established in 1970 by husband and wife Ken and Sue Hunt, who say it was founded on sound engineering principles and an ability to solve problems and turn concepts into practical medical devices.
Production has progressed to include a range of x-ray shielding products along with PPE and imaging accessories, that are often designed in collaboration with major equipment manufacturers.
The company remains family held and is now run by Ken and Sue’s son Paul. As managing director, he is expanding the product portfolio and looking to take the company forward as it evolves to meet the demands of an ever-changing industry. He leads a team, some with more than 20 years’ experience, who work hard to meet and exceed customer expectations.
The coming months will see the launch of a new website and hiring of additional staff. “There is a lot going on at Kenex and we are nicely poised for another great 50 years,” states Paul.
