Southern Scientific has partnered with Tema Sinergie, an Italy-based manufacturer of nuclear medicine products, to distribute its hand, foot and clothes monitor. The monitor is available in two models and is designed to measure gamma radiation and contamination levels on hands, feet, clothes, gloves and footwear.
CMS60D systems are equipped with five identical GM tube detectors, one for each of the hands and feet plus one that is removable for monitoring of clothing. The second model, the CMS60XD, comes with two RXD 1000T detectors for hands and feet and one RXD 270 detector for clothing. The RXD 1000T detector includes two independent channels, for independent measurements of the right hand, left hand, right foot and left foot.
The monitor is suitable for use in nuclear medicine, radio- pharmacy and radiochemistry laboratories or any area that presents the possibility of beta and gamma radioisotope contamination.
