Programme of vascular ultrasound training days kicks off in Birmingham

The first of four Canon Medical Systems UK and Wessex Diagnostic 2020 ultrasound imaging training days took place in Birmingham. Delegates gained knowledge about the latest application of B-mode, pulsed wave and colour Doppler techniques in the investigation of the abdominal, extra and intra-cranial and peripheral vasculature. Four platforms from the Canon ultrasound range were used to support hands-on sessions.

Further courses have been scheduled subject to the latest Public Health England advice regarding COVID-19. A one-day carotid ultrasound imaging training day is planned in London to cover the application of B-scan and duplex, pulsed wave, colour and power Doppler techniques in the investigation of extra and intra-cranial vasculature. In September in Manchester vascular ultrasound will again be covered while a venous ultrasound training course in November in London will focus on colour duplex imaging of the deep and superficial venous system.
