Royal Cornwall Hospital adds SPECT/CT gamma camera to increase early understanding of disease

Royal Cornwall Hospital in Treliske has installed GE Healthcare’s Discovery 670 DR SPECT/CT system.

Clinical lead radiologist for nuclear medicine Dr Tom Sulkin said: “Hybrid gamma cameras are at the forefront of the evolving specialty of molecular imaging.  They combine applied physiology and anatomy, allowing doctors to assess not only what internal organs look like but also how they are working.”
