The Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh (RIE) has been successfully using its Fujifilm CR system for many years, so when it was time to upgrade to two new DR rooms the company was among the six invited to tender.
Fujifilm’s Visionary Suite made a positive impression, as superintendent radiographer/advanced practitioner Kathryn Stewart explained: “The Fujifilm equipment was superior to anything else we saw. It is very user friendly; for example, the tube head was simple and easy to manoeuvre, but also has advanced positioning and guidance buttons that are straightforward to use. The large, ergonomic table with easy access foot pedals and manual control also features a plastic surround to prevent patients catching their fingers, and a single panning button for facilitating patient positioning.
