Ultrasound expert joins Future Medical

Stephen Glasgow has joined medical equipment company Future Medical in the role of European ultrasound specialist due to the increasing demand for new and used ultrasound equipment. He has more than 11 years’ experience in the healthcare industry.

Glasgow’s medical background began when he joined Asteral in 2009 where he set up the equipment remarketing department. This involved forming relationships with healthcare providers, equipment brokers, service companies, OEMs and logistics companies worldwide. Following Permira’s acquisition of Asteral to form the Pantheon Healthcare Group (now Althea) Glasgow became head of equipment trading for the group, overseeing the group’s €7.5 million trading activities.

In 2017 Glasgow left to join Multi-Medix, a company specialising in the sale and repair of ultrasound systems and probes. Here, he set up the supply chain and introduced the company to its global network of customers, focusing on the sale of ultrasound probes, systems and probe repair.

He said: “I am delighted to be working with the knowledgeable team at Future Medical, and I am looking forward to meeting diagnostic professionals in hospitals and clinics across the country. With my extensive involvement in ultrasound, I am eager to offer assistance with the most cost-effective solution for those that are seeking to replace their old ultrasound systems, or exploring purchase of consumables.”
