York’s DR additions feature customised protocols

York Hospital has chosen Samsung GC and GM general and mobile DR x-ray equipment following its most recent equipment replacement process.  Supplied by MIS Healthcare, the Samsung systems join those already installed at Scarborough Hospital and Malton Community Hospital within the trust.

Radiographer principal Steve Baker said: “We evaluated a number of different manufacturers but were impressed by the intuitive user interface and the trademark Samsung design touches.  Images are of excellent quality and protocols have been customised to our specific requirements in order to ensure that the needs of all reporting staff are catered for.  There is potential for patient dose to be further optimised with the Samsung XGEO systems even though we had already optimised our previous CR systems.”
