Althea engineers volunteer to prepare NHS Nightingale Hospital London for first patients

Althea’s specialist biomed engineers have been working at NHS Nightingale Hospital London to build, test and commission thousands of pieces of medical equipment ready for the first patients to be treated. All of the engineers volunteered for the role after Althea was awarded the contract for dedicated biomed managed equipment support.

“The response from our engineers during this unprecedented time has been incredible and we are so very proud of everyone involved,” said UK&I ceo David Rolfe.

“The team has been really responsive to a fast-moving situation, and everyone has worked well beyond their contracted hours, spending time away from their families to help make sure the hospital was ready and functional.”
